FAQs
I BOUGHT THE WRONG SIZE RING, CAN YOU RE-SIZE IT FOR ME?
I can usually stretch the ring up a half to two sizes. However, I am not able to reduce the size of any ring which holds a stone. This is because the resoldering of the band after cutting some of the silver away would damage the stone. It can discolour, weaken or crack under the high temperatures.
If you'd like your ring made larger, please get in touch to arrange. I charge £10 to resize which includes my postage costs back to you.
HOW DO I FIND MY RING SIZE?
I always recommend getting your finger measured by a jeweller, and most high street jewellers will be able to offer this service free of charge. However, I do also offer DIY home sizers in the shop. I’m happy to send one for free if you’re ordering a ring from me - just go ahead and order the ring(s) youyou’d like and let me know you need a sizer, and I’ll pop it straight out in the post for you. Please get in touch if you need any help or advice.
If you are stacking three or more rings together, or choosing a wide band ring, I usually recommend adding a half size to the ring size you order.
WHAT BIRTHSTONES DO I NEED FOR MY STACKING RING SET?
You can choose the stones to represent whatever is important to you in your ring stack. Some people include special anniversaries, birth months, or just their favourite stones.
Here is a list of birthstone by month.
January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - Aquamarine or Sky Blue Topaz
April - White Topaz or Cz (in place of diamonds)
May - Emerald
June - Moonstone or Pearl
July - Ruby
August - Peridot
September - Sapphire
October - Opal or Pink Tourmaline
November - Citrine
December - Turquoise, London Blue Topaz, Swiss Blue Topaz, Tanzanite
Get in touch if you'd like to see how your stones look together. I may have the stones in stock so I can send a photo to you.
As well as the birthstone stacking rings, my range includes other styles such as silver and gold hearts, and plain spacer bands which look great stacked alongside the gems.
HOW LONG WILL IT BE UNTIL I RECEIVE THE JEWELLERY?
All of my jewellery is hand-made by me to order. So once your order is received, it usually takes around 3 weeks to make the stacking or spinner rings, and around 4 days for other items. This time can get a little longer nearer to Christmas, when things get particularly hectic. If you need your order sooner please just email me, I can usually bump your order up the work-list, and can sometimes even accommodate 2 or 3 day turnarounds.
IS ALL OF YOUR JEWELLERY HALLMARKED?
Not all of it! I only send items for hallmarking as standard if they are at the weight at which UK law requires it (currently 7.78g for sterling silver). However, if you'd like to have your item hallmarked I'm more than happy to oblige. It will add a little cost and time to your purchase as the item needs to go to the London Assay Office to be tested and marked, but you will then have the appropriate hallmark and my maker's mark on your item. Everything over the required weight, and all gold items will be hallmarked at the London Assay office. (Click the image below to see the info on the Assay Office's website)
